Codeine Phosphate Codeine is a centrally acting analgesic and antitussive which is well absorbed orally. Following absorption, codeine is metabolized by the liver and metabolic products are excreted in the urine.

Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride Pseudoephedrine is a sympathomimetic which acts predominantly on alpha adrenergic receptors in the mucosa of the respiratory tract producing vasoconstriction and has little action on beta receptors. It therefore functions as an oral nasal decongestant with minimal CNS stimulation.
