Dextromethorphan HBr 20 mg / Guaifenesin 400 mg / Pseudoephedrine HCl 60 mg
 Indications & Usage

  • Temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with a cold
  • Helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to make coughs more productive
  • Temporarily relieves nasal congestion due to the common cold

 MEDENT®-DMI Contains

Dextromethorphan HBr 20 mg
Antitussive agent, which, unlike the isomeric levorphanol, has no analgesic or addictive properties. The drug acts centrally and elevates the threshold for coughing.

Guaifenesin 400 mg
Expectorant which increases respiratory tract fluid secretions and helps loosen phlegm and bronchial secretions.

Pseudoephedrine HCl 60 mg
Sympathomimetic amine acts on alpha-adrenergic receptors in the mucus of the respiratory tract producing
vasoconstriction.

 
 Dosing and Administration

Adults and children 12 years of age and over: 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours; not to exceed 4 tablets on 24 hours

 How Supplied

MEDENT®-DMI tablets are supplied as scored, dye-free, capsule-shaped tablets embossed with SJP 332 on one side and the other side is plain, in bottles of 100 tablets.
